Meet Peanut: Your Loving Companion

Sweet, gentle, and the best companion you could ask for – that's Peanut!

This affectionate pup is eagerly awaiting her forever home, and according to her foster family, she's the perfect furry friend. Peanut adores being by your side, whether you're working, watching TV, or just hanging out. She'll happily entertain herself with her favorite toys, like her stuffed animal or deer antler chew, while you relax. Known for spreading joy and smiles wherever she goes, with proper introductions, Peanut is incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs. While she hasn't met any cats or kids yet, she's likely to hit it off with older, dog-savvy children.

Peanut's enthusiasm knows no bounds, as evidenced by her happy, full-body wiggles whenever she's excited – she's simply irresistible! While she's not a fan of vacuums or spray bottles, Peanut is a quick learner and is currently mastering the art of sitting. Although she’s just starting out on the leash and occasionally gets distracted by squirrels, Peanut is making strides in curbing that behaviour during walks. With continued dedication and patience, she’s well on her way to mastering every trick in the book.

Peanut would do best in a home that has a yard. Being able to run around and have fun in a yard of her own would be a dream!

Ready to welcome a furry friend into your home? If Peanut sounds like your perfect match, reach out to Canine Haven today!

More about this rescue

Formed in 2013, a small scale dog rescue located in Ontario. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run, foster home based.

None of our dogs are boarded in kennels upon arrival.

We are dedicated in rescuing dogs from the Caribbean, Mexico and North America as well as local surrenders.

We place dogs in loving, responsible and committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process.

Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.

We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement
