My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Marilyn, a sweet and gentle 12-year-old brown tabby with short hair and a serene disposition. I'm a bit on the shy side, preferring to show my affection in quiet, subtle ways. I may not be the type to curl up in your lap, but I promise to be your faithful companion, always nearby, always observing. I like to hang out and might just follow you around like a little shadow, especially once I feel comfortable in my new surroundings.

Living with FIV means I need a bit of extra care, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying life and giving love. I think I'd thrive in a peaceful studio apartment where I can feel secure and be your one and only. On my own terms, I'll share my world with you-a world filled with gentle interactions, shared spaces, and the quiet companionship that makes a house a home. If you're looking for a reserved yet incredibly sweet friend, let's take this journey together, at our own pace.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Fees vary with special adoption events, but our standard adoption fee for an individual adult cat, between the ages of 6 months to 7 years, is $75. An adoption interest form/application and contract must be filled out by all adopters.
No adoptions are approved without visiting the shelter in person. Interest or application for adoption is not a guarantee. Volunteers attempt to match cats with an appropriate home setting/family, and adoptions are not first come, first serve.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, almost all of our adoptable animals are in foster homes. In most cases it is not possible to visit cats in the shelter.
