My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carrie likes to go to bed in her kennel and is doggie door trained. She has had a couple of peeing accidents in the house when something has startled her.

Carrie needs leash work to continue as she gets very excited and pulls. She is very food motivated and will attempt to steal any food she can reach.

Carrie is still a puppy and LOVES to chew on anything and everything. Carrie is fearful of fast-moving, unpredictable little kids and will run away from them.

Carrie is part of a bonded pair - with Taylor Swift - and the girls like to sleep in the same kennel together. They are very bonded and prefer to play with each other rather than to play with their people. They love to chase one another through the house and in the backyard.

They are quite the entertaining twosome! If you want to add a pair to your family that can entertain themselves - this is YOUR CHANCE. Apply to www.paws4acause.net today!

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

We find out what the adopter is looking for in a pet and learn more about their household such as other pets, family members, lifestyle.

2.

Meet the Pet

We then show photos and descriptions of the pets to potential adopters and arrange a meet and greet.

3.

Submit Application

4.

Approve Application

5.

Home Check

In this home check we collect the adoption fee and bring the pet to them also finalizing the transaction. We then switch chip info to adopt

Additional adoption info

We generally stay as guardian on the microchip info and change the primary contact to the adopter. They then have their own log in to keep things current, but we are there as a backup always.

Go meet their pets

Meet and greets can be arranged at any time. We come to you!

More about this rescue

We are a new, small scale rescue. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit and are only volunteers. We began to see the huge numbers of dogs being abandoned and euthanized after our own husky was stolen during a break in to our home. We had to get more involved as it was a lifelong dream to be able to rescue animals. We have self funded the organization since the beginning, but really need donations as we have taken in some medical needs dogs that were due to be put down for manageable / treatable conditions. Our goal is to be able to match adopters with emotional support dogs, therapy dogs, or trainable service dogs, or just to complete a family by adding a furbaby. We ensure our dogs are UTD on shots, spay/neutered, chipped and trained in basic obedience. This ensures a greater chance of finding that forever home!
