A Little Bit About Me

Meet Benji, a 100-pound bundle of curiosity and goofiness. Despite his size, Benji is gentle and loves exploring new environments. He's got a knack for sniffing out hidden treasures, whether it's a misplaced toy or a tasty treat. His goofy nature means there's never a dull moment around him. However, Benji needs careful introductions to other dogs. His size can be intimidating, but with patience and proper introductions, he can befriend other dogs. Adopting Benji means bringing home a loyal companion who will fill your life with laughter and joy.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
