Dog's Name: Joe (JOE0324OWSMN)
Estimated Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Rat Terrier MIX
Approximate Age: 5-6 years
Approximate Weight: 15-18 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: What a handsome little man! Joe is a happy fellow who craves a stable life with someone who will be his forever! He is a little bit shy with new people but warms up quickly and will be in your lap before you know it. He gets along well with other dogs once they have been introduce, and he is fine with cats. He enjoys his walks and he walks well on a leash. He is a fast learner and knows how to sit and stay and is working on a few other commands. He is house trained and crate trained. He can be a bit barky at first when left alone until he gets into a new routine. At the end of the day, he will be quite happy to join you on the couch for some belly rubs and cuddle time. He would do particularly well with another, confident, friendly dog to hang out with. If you give Joe a chance to have a loving home, he will be your devoted companion for life!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
