Chrissie is an extremely friendly multi-mix who’s full of energy and popular with dogs, children and adults.  Chrissie plays well and is gentle and patient with young
children.

Chrissie enjoys car rides and visiting new places. He’s an adventurer through and through who would love to accompany you on your favorite outdoors activities! Whether it's the heat of summer or the dead of winter, Chrissie enjoys going outside and socializing with other dogs. Chrissie deeply values connection and is skilled at making new dog friends and, maybe even, making YOU a few new human friends!

Although Chrissie is blessed with an abundance of energy, he can also operate at a leisurely pace and enjoys sunbathing at home on floors, couches or, preferably, cozying up in your arms. Chrissie has a sweet temperament and wants to give you the affection you deserve!

• DO YOU HAVE TREATS? Few dogs are as food-oriented as Chrissie. If you’re looking for a way to gain loyalty with Chrissie, look no further than a filled bone, chew toy or rawhide!

Personality and Behavior:
• Energy Level: High to Very High
• Good with Children: Yes
• Good with Other Dogs: Yes, Chrissie has lived with other dogs and enjoys their company. He is a very sociable dog. Chrissie has also lived in a home where he was the only dog
and would re-acclimate very well.
• Good with Cats: No. Chrissie would not do well in homes that have cats or plan to have cats.
• Crate Trained: Yes
• Obedience Training: Leash trained; basic commands - sit and stay; no history of destructive behavior.
• Favorite Activities: Running around the yard, chewing a new bone, anything food/treat-oriented, socializing with other dogs and humans, relaxing naps around the house, spending time with you.
• Special Needs: None
• Known Health Issues: Chrissie has no known health issues and is uncharacteristically active for his age.

Why am I rehoming Chrissie? My lifestyle and work-travel responsibilities have changed recently and after long deliberation, I havedecided I am no longer in a position to provide Chrissie with the appropriate time and attention that he deserves, which is why I hope rehoming this awesome pup will connect Chrissie with a family who is looking for an active, kind-hearted, affectionate dog to dote on!

Care Requirements:
• Diet: Chrissie is on IAM’s Adult, Large Breed for the past 4 years without any issues.
• Exercise Needs: Chrissie enjoys going on walks a couple times a week, but deeply values to free-range and explore enclosed yards, run around off leash and play with other dogs. Chrissie enjoys going to dog parks and socializing with other dogs.
• Grooming: Chrissie is short-haired, but does shed quite a bit. However, brushing for 5 minutes a few times a week minimizes Chrissie’s shedding and loose hairs around the home.
• Current Medications: Not on any medications.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
