Walter was brought in by his previous owner on March 1, 2024.

Meet Walter, an excitable boy who is eagerly searching for his new home. While Walter may be initially nervous in new environments and around unfamiliar faces, he blossoms into an enthusiastic companion once he forms a connection and his personality shines through when he's with his favorite people. Walter has shown some resource guarding of food in his previous home, so it is important be able to manage these behaviors. Due to this, Walter would do best in a home without young children and without other doggy friends. Positive reinforcement training will be beneficial to refine his manners! Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
