My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption .

Miya is a 5 year old 70 pound   German Shepherd Husky Mix .Her adoption fee is $325. Anyone wishing to adopt Miya must first fill out an application at www.ffosk9resq.org

Once the application is received, one of volunteers will process the application and her foster mom will contact you for further information and to answer any questions you may have at that time.

Miya showed up at her foster home very alone, scared and pregnant.

She is now the mother to 8 darling little pups that were born 8 weeks ago.
She is a very sweet girl and loves all her people. She meets everyone with a wagging tails and wiggly butt.

She is very smart and knows how to open the front door to go out to do her business. She walks well on a leash and rides well in car. She has excellent house manners too!

Proper introductions need to be done with other house hold pets. She is anxious when first meeting them but does better after she gets to know them.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.

More about this rescue

We are a home based, incorporated 501(c)3 non profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten unwanted pets in forever homes. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, strays, and unwanted pets prior to being euthanized. We do not adopt to outside only homes,or to anyone wanting to crop, dock or do any other alterations to their pets, except spaying and neutering. We highly recommend positive training methods once pets are placed in forever homes. All pets are completely vetted, heart worm tested and treated if necessary, brought up to date on all vaccines and rabies certificates. Also all FFOS pups are spayed/neutered prior to adoptions, except in the case of young pups, which will only be adopted with a contract to have them spayed or neutered when they are old enough. This is non-negotiable.
