My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stache and Sid, two dashing felines that have overcome adversity with grace and charm! They are bonded so they must be adopted TOGETHER!

Rescued from a challenging situation, these brothers’ journey began when their previous owner sadly passed away, leaving them and several other cats to fend for themselves. Luckily, Billy the Kidden stepped in to offer refuge, and these 2 amazing boys found solace in the care of their dedicated foster parents.

Despite their initial trauma, Stache and Sid have blossomed into super affectionate companions. Stache may be a bit shy at first but once he comes out, two hands are not enough to love on both of these gentle giants! Sid wants all of the attention, all of the time, and will even try to block Stache so that you can pet him instead.

While Sid has awesome vampire teethies, Stache lives up to his name with a super cool mustache! These guys both adore cuddles and belly rubs, and they have super loud and intense purrs. Sid definitely makes the perfect lap cat for anyone seeking a loyal companion. He’s the lappiest lap cat his foster mom has ever seen, so if you want a lap cat, he's DEFINITELY your guy! He wants constant love and to be in your lap all the time! Once Stache gets to know you, he just can't get enough pets and love!

Due to Sid and Stache's past trauma, they may be a bit shy at first but when they come around, oh boy, they absolutely LOVE love! They seem to be unsure about toys still but they’re definitely interested. Once they're comfortable in their surroundings, their foster mommy is sure that they'll enjoy springs, crinkle balls, and wand toys!

While it is unknown for sure how well they do with dogs, Stache and Sid seem to be just fine when they hear the small dog in the house bark. They definitely get along with other cats as they lived with lots of cats in a badly hoarded house their whole lives until rescued. As long as the children are gentle, they should do fine with them as well.

If you love head-butts, purring, and giving belly rubs, then you're gonna love Stqche and Sid! These large (13 & 18 pounds) and extremely handsome boys are waiting to meet you with their bellies up, ready for pets, and sure to make you fall absolutely head over heels in love with them!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.

We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.

We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.

We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.

We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.

Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.

Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.

We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!

We also appreciate donations! Find our most needed items
