My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What’s cuter than a Doxie? A Doxie mix!
Say hi to Harper!  This sweet soul came from Alabama as part of a hoarding case of more than 40 dogs. She ended up in a shelter with her fur siblings - Harriet and Hansel. She loves treats and cuddling is her favorite past time. She's a great size at just 13 lbs. and a perfect age at 4 years. Sweet Harper is shy at first, and takes a bit to warm up. But she will give you a beautiful smile as she slinks her way to you for some love. Her coat is the softest ever and so are her kisses. She is good with dogs and cats, but has not been around kids while with our rescue. We imagine small kids would scare her though.  Harper is doing well with potty training, and will also use a pee pad inside. Harper now walks well on a leash and harness. We do want Harper to go to a home with another friendly dog around her size to help give her confidence. Harper is not a digger and does not try to dig out of a fenced yard. If you have a loving, forever home for Harper, and you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, complete an app and tell us more about you.
