Amy is a beautiful, sensitive young pup who’s looking for a very special forever home—one filled with patience, kindness, and lots of love. At just a few months old, Amy has already shown an incredible capacity for affection, but she needs time and a gentle environment to let her sweet personality shine.

While Amy is friendly by nature, she is quite shy around new people and especially fearful of men. She does much better with women and would thrive in a female-only household with someone willing to take things slow and allow her to build trust at her own pace. Her fear may not be permanent—her foster family is helping her gain confidence, and she’s already making progress.

A friendly resident dog is a must for Amy. She gains confidence and social cues from other dogs, and her interactions with canine friends are a huge part of helping her come out of her shell. She adores playing with the dogs in her foster home and seeks their companionship instinctively.

Amy also gets along well with cats and loves carrying sticks or bones around like trophies. She’s gentle, sweet, and smart—she mastered the dog door in just two days and hasn’t had any accidents in the house. She also walks nicely on leash and rides calmly in the car.
