Amy was born around January 13, 2024. She is a hound/collie mix, and she weighs about 18lbs. She is expected to be around 60lbs fully grown. She is up to date on shots.
Amy is a friendly puppy, and even though she can be a little shy when meeting new people and dogs, she loves to play with the pups in her foster home and chew on bones.
She is a sweet dog that enjoys being around people as she gets to know them. She is doing great building her confidence and manners.
Amy is gentle, and her temperament will just melt your heart. Amy's love for others knows no bounds, and she eagerly seeks out canine companionship to interact with.
She is super smart and learned to use the dog door in just two days. Amy has had absolutely no accidents in the house, which is impressive for a puppy her age!
Please Note:
1. You must have a dedicated private space for potty and outdoor exploration. Puppies often need additional immunizations before they are allowed to walk in public spaces such as apartment complexes, dog parks and anywhere other animals may be until the puppies are fully immunized.
2. Unless an existing good vet record exists, we will not adopt to anyone further than a 1-hour drive from the listed location. We need to be in close proximity to adopters when we need to follow up on vaccinations and spay/neuter. There is an additional $200 spay/neuter deposit for an adopter within one hour who does not have a current or prior good vet record.
3. Pup cannot be left alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much-needed socialization for a pup this age.
We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, and tickborne tests, as well as regular monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. You MUST contact your veterinarian’s office to give them permission to speak to us BEFORE we call them to verify the care you have provided for your pets.
Applications are available at www.puppypawsrescue.org If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. At that time, you will be contacted (usually by email) to schedule a phone interview and a virtual home visit (Facetime, Skype, etc). PLEASE CHECK your SPAM folder for emails from Puppy Paws Rescue.
Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview may not receive a reply within that time frame. Our rescue is an all-volunteer team managing families, our paying jobs, households, foster dogs, application processing, interviews, home visits, follow-up, transports, and much more. We ask that you be courteous and patient with us.
