My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diesel, born 2.2022, weighing 42 lbs is a Black Lab/Cattle dog blend with a loving, playful personality He's medium-large dog with a huge heart. This sweet boy is the perfect choice for any family looking for a kid-friendly pet. He was raised in a home with children and other dogs. We have not had him around cats, but can easily check that for you. Diesel is very curious, out going and adventurous guy. He’s always ready to try something new, loves playing ball..LOL, he'll play all day if you let him and learns very quickly. Get ready for smiles, giggles, and laughter as you watch him play. He loves playing with other dogs and would enjoy having a playmate in his new home. Diesel is fine tuning his house manners and needs space to play. A home with a fenced-in backyard would be ideal. He's fully vetted and ready to meet his new forever family. Come play ball with him.. you'll love every minute! Are you ready to give him a home?To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Tour/Adoption Hours:

Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm

During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
