Hi, Nitro here! I’m a 10-year-old, 20-pound JRT looking for a retirement home to be loved and snuggled for the rest of my days. I wound up in the city kennel, and no one came for me. At one point, I must have had a family who loved me, as I’m sweet as can be and love my people. I’m really good on a leash, I like my walkies, and I am 99% house-trained. I keep my crate clean and am getting used to being in it if no one is home. I might whine in it a little when you leave, but I’ll settle down once I know I’m safe in my forever home.
I get along with my feisty foster sister, but I’m not much for playing with her or with toys. I know “sit” and am working on “stay.” I’m a very polite house guest. If I do something I’m not supposed to, you need to tell me “no,” and I’ll stop; even better would be if you gave me treats to teach me the rules. We don’t have cats at my foster home, so I don’t know how I would be with them. I’m pretty mellow, so kids might not be a good match for me. I don’t have to have a fence. My favorite thing to do is snuggle with my people and have a fluffy, warm bed where I can tunnel under the covers. Could you be my forever family?
All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
