My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Christopher is an absolute sweetheart. He's 16lbs, and does have some scars on his back that will most likely not grow fur back. He has surely been through some things. But that doesn't stop him from being a wonderfully kind and incredible dog. He loves to go on walks, and is a very easy going boy. He definitely deserves someone that's gonna treat him right for the rest of his life!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
