My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He's a Runner, he's a Track Star!

Track Star is no Usain Bolt, but he is an adorable teen cat with a love for zoomies! Track Star is a 9 month old tri-pawed kitty with lots of love and cuddles to give (seriously, he’s a cuddler, as I write this bio he is curled up on my lap purring away). Along with being a world class snuggler, Track Star also has a gold medal in kitten energy. He loves to run around and play with his stuffed toys and ribbon wand.

Track Star would love to go to a home where he can get all of his zoomies out with an attentive owner, or ideally with other feline friends to play with! However, he is FeLV+ so he will need to go to a home with other FeLV+ cats. Once he has all his energy out, he loves to be a couch potato and hang out with his humans.

Track Star came to PAWS with a wound of unknown origin, and unfortunately had to have his back left leg amputated. Since his surgery in late January, his healing process has gone smoothly and he has adapted quickly to his tri-pawed life! He is having a fine time getting around, and will not need any accommodations due to his amputation.

If you’re interested in meeting Track Star, please reach out so he can greet you with flops and roll-overs until you give him belly rubs!

**Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that attacks and weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. In the past, cats with FeLV in shelters were euthanized as soon as they were diagnosed. PAWS takes a different stance: we enable FeLV+ cats to live out their lives in loving homes. For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!**
