When Jack’s not bouncing off the walls, he’s probably snuggled in your lap or right up against you.
This guy is just as loving as he is energetic, and he spends his days chasing his wand toy, chirping at birds from the windowsill, and plopping himself right down on top of you, no matter what you’re up to. Jack will wiggle his way into your heart before you get a chance to blink—he’s irresistible! He’s the perfect combo of kitten energy and cozy lap cat, and he woos everyone he meets.
Jack is a wonderfully social guy who has so much love to give all new friends, especially those that will play with him! He fills the room with personality, zooming around and doing acrobatics, and then letting it all hang loose with his hysterical belly up sleeping positions. He can get a little nippy and scratchy when he gets overexcited while playing. He’s getting much better with the appropriate redirection, but because of this, we don’t recommend him to live in a home with small children.
Jack has tested FeLV+, so for now he should remain the only cat in the home, or join another FeLV+ friend!
**Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that attacks and weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. In the past, cats with FeLV in shelters were euthanized as soon as they were diagnosed. PAWS takes a different stance: we enable FeLV+ cats to live out their lives in loving homes. For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!**
