Did you know that black dogs are skipped over more than other dogs? Little Lady has multiple strikes against her. She’s black, and she’s a possible pittie mix. This combination is often a death sentence in Texas where they are even euthanizing innocent puppies like Little Lady. So she NEEDS you!
Little Lady is currently 50+ lbs and 8 months old. We think she may be a Staffy/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess. We like to call them a Texas Surprise! Little Lady owes her name to her beautiful mom, Lady, whom she resembles. She is sure to steal your heart with her deep brown eyes and big beautiful smile!
Little Lady has a big personality, and an even bigger heart. She loves to play and be silly, but she loves her humans more than anything. She is sweet, cuddly, and affectionate. She's the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, making her an ideal companion for anyone who loves a little fun in their life.
This sweetheart is making great progress on her manners. She’s still working on not jumping up on people, but she's crate trained and potty trained, and she knows commands like Sit, Lay Down, Settle, No, Outside, and Night Night. She loves to run around with a squeaky toy, and her favorite treats include apples with peanut butter and sweet potato - the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach!
She has spent her whole life in a loving foster home with her mom and siblings, who have given her a great start in learning doggy manners. She also lives with her foster parents, a special needs granddaughter, and another adult who is in a wheelchair. She does great with people of all ages and abilities, as well as other dogs.
Little Lady would do best in a home with a yard where she can frolic and play. She is not bad on a leash and doesn’t pull much, with some leash training she could become a total pro. She would be a great dog to take on neighborhood walks, hikes, or to a dog-friendly café. She is sweet to everyone she meets. Car rides aren’t her favorite though, so if roadtrips are one of your favorite things, she would need some patience and training to get her more comfortable.

Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport.
Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
