My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bumper. He is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs about 10 pounds.

Bumper is a super sweet dog with a medium to high energy level. He loves to play and chase after his stuffed toys and has managed to shred a couple of them.

He's great around people, children, and other dogs. He really perks up when he gets to say hi to children and other dogs.

Bumper loves walking on a leash and loves to go outside. He stops to sniff and leave his mark for others to know that he was there. A yard for him to romp around in and explore would be great. He is curious, but doesn't seem too interested in chasing after squirrels or rabbits.

Bumper is almost fully house-trained, but he does have the occasional accident. I usually walk him about every 2-4 hours to help prevent accidents. He can sleep through the night accident free.

Bumper is not a constant barker, but he will bark when he hears noises outside the door and sometimes at strangers. Once he knows the stranger is okay, the barking stops.

Bumper is a bit of a “velcro” dog and prefers to spend his time in the same room or on the same chair with me. At first he did bark a little when left at home, but he has become more comfortable with absences of up to 4 hours. At night, he shares the bed with me and his foster brother.

Bumper is a loving boy who is happy to be in the same room with you or snuggle with you on a chair. He hopes to find a forever home that would shower him with the love he deserves!

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. Bumper will need another dog in the home that is chosen for him. **There are no exceptions to this**.

Bumper is being fostered in IL
