Foster cat's bio for their adoption profile: Dustea was found living outside on her own and was picked up to be mouser in an auto shop. She had other plans though as a few days after starting her career as a mouser she surprised everyone by having kittens! The boys at the auto shop took great care of her until SCAT had a spot for her and her family. Dustea is a quiet girl that has made it abundantly clear she does not like other felines including her own teenage kittens. She remains separated from them and her foster family's cats. Her fosters will continue to work with her to see if living with another cat could be possible in the future. She gets along great with the 2 resident dogs. When it is her turn to have the run of the house she likes to follow you to keep you company. She is interested in what you are doing and she is a good listener that never tells your secrets to anyone! She uses the litter box like a pro. Since she is new to indoor life she will need family that will patiently teach her the rules of being an indoor cat. An added bonus would be to find a home that could find time to brush and comb her beautiful long black locks a couple of times a week. This girl is a sweetie that has started sitting on laps and if you listen closely you will hear her gentle purrs!

More about this rescue

Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
