Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Murphy is a female bearded dragon, around 5 years old. She was relinquished because factors in the owner's life were making it difficult to handle her, which resulted in her being a bit spicy. When our dragon-savvy volunteers take her out, she does calm down after a few minutes, but is best adopted by experienced handlers. We are currently open by appointment only to see all the pets, but we frequently appear at farmer's markets and other local events with adoptable animals.

More about this shelter

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
