Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kale, Parsley, Cilantro, Fennel, and Leeks are all females, around 6 months old. They were born when their moms were purchased from the pet store already pregnant. Their owner relinquished them due to moving house.

We are currently open by appointment only to see all the pets, but we frequently appear at farmer's markets and other local events with adoptable animals.

More about this shelter

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
