My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.

Hippie is a sweet little Papillion pup that has confidence.

Hippie is what is known as a what as known as a Phalene Papillion where her ears lay down. She has all the traits of a "Pappy" in that she is smart with lots of energy!

Hippie likes to play and does well with other dogs but can be selfish with her food bowl and bed. She came from a puppy mill where she didn't have such nice things, so maybe after some adjusting she may not count them as something she needs to protect.

Hippie is being treated for giardia, a common parasite found in puppy mills. She should finish her meds before going to her new family.

Hippie's adoption is $500. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly heart worm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for next steps!

PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.

All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.

We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.

Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer ran rescue and all of our dogs are in foster homes. We focus on puppy mill dogs and senior dogs at animal control or owner surrenders. We ensure all dogs have been completely vetted before going to their new home.
