My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With her stunning silver mask and a sparkle in her eyes, Lucy is the senior sweetheart we can't stop talking about! This lovely eight year old came into us as a stray. While her history is a mystery, her splendid personality shines from the first moment you meet her. Relaxed and easy-going, Lucy is a wonderful companion for all of life's little moments. Don't let her silver fur fool you--she still has plenty of spunk to enjoy walks and time in the sunshine by your side, but the highlight of her day is curling up and cuddling next to you. We know this gentle girl will be a perfect addition to any family. She doesn't need a lot: if you can offer her some of your time and affection, Lucy will give you all of her love in return!

Lucy is in a foster home. You can contact her foster family by texting 954-438-4437 for more information or to set up a meet and greet.

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
