My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To meet Odin, please submit an application at www.thehausofdogs.com/adopt .

Meet Odin, a gentle soul with a heart of gold. While he may be a bit shy and timid in the shelter environment, Odin's true character shines through when he's around other dogs, displaying a natural affinity for companionship. This sweet pup finds solace in the comforting presence of his humans and his eyes light up with gratitude when he receives their love and attention.

More about this rescue

We opened in December 2019 as a dog cafe. 3 months later we had to shut down due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but are solely doing adoptions. We hope to reopen the cafe sometime in the future. Our CEO has 3 dogs that she adopted from a shelter. Her experience at a high-kill shelter inspired her to start a halfway home for dogs while searching for their forever home. Our dogs spend a considerable amount of time playing with one another, thanks to proper introduction and close supervision during playtime. We only take in a small number of dogs to ensure each one gets plenty of one-on-one time with us. This also allows us to work with more fearful/shy/reactive dogs and adopt them out once they’re ready.
