My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Bounty
Age/Sex: 2023 F (Will be spayed by rescue)
Breed: GSD
Medical concerns: None at this time.
Good with: Dogs! Maybe Kids!
No cats please.
NO DOG PARKS!

Bounty arrived with litter in tow, but she's all done with that, and ready to find a family of her own! Just a baby herself, and bred her first heat, we place her at 10-16 months old. She had never lived indoors, never been on leash, never been in a car, never been to the vet...but that's all behind her now!

Bounty is working on learning all about life, and how cool it is! She is a work in progress, but her true personality is starting to shine, and she's got so much to give! She is sassy, incredibly playful, curious, and loves a good scent. Some nosework would be right up her alley to help her keep building confidence as she learns about the world. She has also shown a strong affinity for water!

She struggles a bit with confinement and separation, having never had boundaries before. She will require an escape proof crate to ensure a smooth transition. She is figuring out the leash, and will need someone willing to commit to continuing her training. Slow, patient, and positive is key.

Bounty is becoming more confident with other dogs, and starting to enjoy their company. A calm, confident companion would do her good. No females close in age, as she has shown some sharpness with other females. She is medium sized (about 60lbs), and shouldn't get much bigger.

Based on some of her fixations, I'm going to say no cats. Older kids, that will give her space, and can follow instructions well, will be considered on a case by case basis. She is still a flight risk at this time, and a door/gate accidently left open will see her running the streets.

Bounty may have some needs, but there is a true gem waiting to shine underneath! She is very sweet, super cuddly, and has that velcro, in your pocket personality that many people love. I expect her to be a master of many activities, and a great athletic companion!
