Happy is a 3 month (as of 3/25/2024) old American Staffordshire Terrier and possible cattle dog mix puppy. He was taken to the shelter when found stray. Happy loves to be played with, enjoys belly rubs, and is very social. In fact, if he thinks you are going to pet him, he will roll over to beg for a tummy rub! He is a very loving puppy who greets those he loves with a very happy tail! He is incredibly loving, sweet and cuddly. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Happy is potty trained but of course will need specific training for his new home He knows sit and sits and waits until told to “go” for his food. He does well with other dogs. He responds well to corrections from dogs and curtails his behavior accordingly. He would be best to be in a home without cats as he wants to play with them likes dogs (which is often unappreciated!).

We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes his neuter, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative. Adopter will take puppy to an LHS approved vet to be neutered in April of 2024 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.
*Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
