Foster Friday: Meet Polaris!

Polaris has been patiently awaiting her trip to PA from the Carolinas where she has been in foster. In order for Polaris to get one step closer to finding her furever family, she will need a foster commitment in PA for a minimum of at least two weeks. Or, a foster to adopt scenario.

Polaris is here to steal your heart. This sweet pibble is not just good with kids, cats, and dogs, but absolutely adores them!

Polaris believes in living life to the fullest, and that means playtime is non-negotiable. Whether it's a game of fetch, a stroll in the park, or simply cuddling up on the couch, Polaris is always up for some fun! But beware, when it's couch potato time and Polaris's favorite show comes on the tube, nothing can interrupt that precious bonding time!

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (If not already altered, a $100 deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $350

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
