This sweet little old man is Maraschino, a 12 year old mini poodle mix that is looking for his retirement home! Maraschino, sadly, was found as a stray so we don't know what his previous home life was like. When he came to HSNT he was underweight and matted. We have started to help him put some weight back on, and after being groomed he looks like a whole new dog! Maraschino loves all people, he has never met a stranger in his life! If you have a lap and are willing to let him lay in it, you are his new favorite person! Maraschino does well with other dogs, and doesn't seem to care about cats! We recommend doing a meet and greet if there are other dogs in the home, just to make sure everyone gets along before adoption! Sadly, Maraschino does have a heart murmur. It does need to be monitored by a vet, as heart murmurs can eventually lead to heart failure but doesn't necessarily mean that it will; just something you need to keep an eye on. Maraschino has done really well with the potty routine here, but with his old age a few accidents are bound to happen. This sweet boy has been neutered, is current on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped; so he's ready to come home today!
