My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy.

I walk with a harness and leash because sometimes I just get so excited to smell everything.

Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

A volunteer writes: Kuma is a gorgeous middle-aged dog who is young at heart. An enthusiastic walker with energy that's more like a puppy, Kuma may just be the jogging partner or hiking buddy that you've been seeking! She loves going for walks and leading the way, curious to explore the many sights and smells of the city. She's strong and smart -- a great combination, but one that needs a patient and consistent person(s) to help Kuma learn polite doggie manners. Due to her exuberance, we think that Kuma would be the best match for an adult household who will enjoy taking long walks and spending time with her in the beautiful outdoors.
