My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miko, your new best friend!

She’s a 1-year-old American Bully who is as sweet as she is stunning. Miko would excel with a very active family! Miko is great with dogs on her same energy level, which is full on play time, and she would LOVE another dog she could play with all day in her forever home. Miko LOVES car rides and especially if she can ride shot-gun. Like most young dogs, she thrives on lots of activity and being included in those activities with her family. Mio would do best with children over 12 or no children in her home. She’s very smart and learns very quickly new tricks or commands.

Miko loves people, while out and about she is curious, playful and respectful, she is still very much a puppy, we are looking for her forever family to continue building on the foundation of guidance, routine, and structure.

Want to make this girl happy? Take her on hikes, take her on runs, play with her in your backyard, she LOVES spring and tug toys, she’s a hoot and truly a goofball! Let her show you how loving and playful she truly is, be prepared to laugh A LOT when this girl is in your presence. She’s also a cuddle bug and loves to offer kisses to anyone who wants to be showered with lots and lots of licks! When we say she’s active we truly mean she’s active and ready to explore all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Anyone who adopts this girl has hit the jackpot. Miko has an established vet in Renton and loves to visit all her friends while there.

We have lots more to share with those who are interested in learning more about her, please reside in Washington State. We are looking for a family with American Bully experience who knows the breed and loves them for it!

Miko has been spayed, trainer assessed, housetrained, and up to date on all vaccines and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Our mission is.....

Charlie's Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit charitable organization. We strongly believe and will strive to improve the quality of life for senior dogs left behind in shelters and in dire need of care and compassion in their golden years. We also believe in strong and ethical partner relationships, to include an all foster based rescue. We will strive to help educate owners who feel a shelter may be their only resource available for their senior companion. Most importantly to be their advocate for spay and neuter programs and to help owners in need find low cost programs.

Their reality is.....

Seniors are often deemed less adoptable and when shelters need space they are the first ones to be put-to-sleep. They often languish in the shelter system not understanding where they are and quickly shut down when they realize they will never see their beloved owners again. Most are in dire need of medical care and crave the simplest of human interaction. Most only receive the interaction they longed for when they are removed from their kennel once their time has run out. This is the most heart wrenching of realities knowing that the interaction only comes at the expense of ending their lives that fateful day.

Our Promise is.....

To rescue and improve the quality of life for senior dogs. To be an advocate for spay and neuter programs and to help owners in need find low cost programs. To provide the best medical care, or in some cases the strength to compassionately let them cross over to The Rainbow Bridge.
