The strong silent type can provide the best love you can have. Dijon has had a rocky start in life, but he is so ready for another adventure, and hopefully it can be with you! This pup enjoys being in a more mature environment with adults-only and would prefer to be the center of all of your love and attention without any competition from other dogs or cats. Being alone can be rough for him at first, but he is so open to learning and growing with you. Based on previous reports, Dijon absolutely loves being an active pup! He has been great on long walks, and absolutely adores playtime.

Additional adoption info

To adopt a cat or dog from PAWS Chicago:

- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a form of identification (license or state ID)
- Verify that you are allowed to have a cat/dog where you currently live.
- Be able to spend the time and resources necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for your cat.
- Bring along all family members (including children) to meet the cat/dog(s).
- Be able to take the cat/dog home on the day of adoption.
- Have the time to spend up to an hour with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning a cat/dog and making it a lifetime commitment.

Adoption Fee:

- $150.00 for kittens
- $100.00 for cats 1-5 years of age
- $75.00 for cats 6-9 years of age
- $50.00 for cats 10 years and older
- $450.00* for puppies
- $350.00* for dogs 1-7 years of age
- $200.00 for dogs 8 years and older

*A $100.00 refundable training deposit is also required for each dog/puppy. This deposit is refundable upon completion of obedience training. You will have four months from the date of the adoption to complete a basic obedience class with your new puppy/dog. When you provide proof that your PAWS dog has completed a course, we will reimburse you the $100.00 deposit you submitted at the time of adoption.

Adoption Fee Includes:

- Spay/neuter surgery
- All age-appropriate vaccinations
- Microchip
- Lifetime guarantee if something happens to you or you can no longer care for your pet
- Support throughout the pets lifetime
