Jam is a very special, 6 month old, male, German Shepherd/Pittie mix. This boy is already 60 lbs!!! He has the sweetest temperament and has been raised in a loving foster home since he was a wee little worm. Jam loves humans and he loves dog friends. He is house trained, crate trained, and well on a leash. He is adventure seeking, snuggle loving, and enjoys playtime! His foster mom says he’s the world’s best snuggler!
Jam was born in a small, underfunded shelter in Texas. He came to CO with his mom and littermates at just a couple weeks old. When it came time to be adopted, it was discovered that Jam had a problem with the mitral valve in his heart. The specialists recommended he be rechecked when he was a bit older. So, Jam hung out in his foster home while he continued to grow (and grow and grow). On March 1st, Jam had a follow-up echocardiogram and it was discovered his heart issue had resolved!! We were thrilled. He does have a very mild case of Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia, but it is believed he will outgrow this, as well. He presently lives a normal life, takes no medications, and will just need a follow-up appt when he’s about a year old to see how his heart has grown.
Jam is in foster in Englewood, Colorado.
*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *
