My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Juneau who you’ve been waiting for your whole life? Yep, you guessed it. Juneau!!! This ‘lil munchkin is a 3-year old, 20-pound Rat Terrier mix who is the ideal size, the ideal age, and has the absolute, most ideal temperament.

Juneau is housebroken, crate trained, familiar with several commands, and well-mannered on a leash. She loves all humans and considers every dog she meets a potential new friend.
She enjoys being outside and looks forward to her walks. At home, she is calm, content, and loving. She is equally happy playing fetch with a toy as she is being cuddled and caressed. She instinctively knows her boundaries and doesn’t look for trouble. If you need quiet time, she will relax in her crate. If you want to play with her, she’s all yours.

Small enough to take everywhere, Juneau is the type of dog who would likely enjoy adventures, road trips, and dinners at outdoor cafes. She rode on a subway once and was completely unfazed. Juneau is not afraid of strangers, nor is she scared of loud noises. She is fine being left alone and is not at all destructive in the home. But the minute you walk in the door, get ready to be showered with love.

Juneau lovvvves treats and is an all-around good eater. She prefers her food soft, or at least moistened, but that’s not a big ask at all! This adorable furry girl is a piece of cake to care for, and just so sweet, you’ll wanna eat her up!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
