My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Falcor - Yep, the "Never Ending Story".  He and his Pit Bull girlfriend were left behind in an offgrid community when their owner moved.  During their SEVEN months fending for themselves they acquired a third friend and formed a pack to survive.  Sadly, the predators and desert elements were not his biggest enemy.  After capture a vet visit for eating too much trash and  bunnies, led to xrays that showed he had also been shot.  He certainly has NO reason to like people but WOW is he into every person he meets.  Falco is a VELCRO dog.  He LOVES affection, wants to be a lap dog and has NO sense of personal space when it comes to showing you how much he loves.  We don't really know what breed he is but he's a whole lot of handsome, sweet and cuteness in an adorable low rider profile.  He weighs in at a solid 50lbs but is calf height at best.  He walks amazing on a leash.  While in the desert he was observed to be a skilled rabbit hunter and would bring his catch back to share with his friends.  This same nurturing personality extends to everyone he greets.  After a young start fighting coyotes and protecting his pack he prefers a bubble with other dogs.  He is fine on leash and at a distance but not interested in dogs invading his space so needs to be your one and only.  This story started tragically and has come full circle to a happy chapter looking for a final one with a family of never ending love.

Because of months on his own he is considered a flight risk so cannot be left unattended in a yard, crated is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash on adventures and his new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas.   This story started tragically and has come full circle to a happy chapter looking for a final one with a family of never ending love.  Is that you?

More about this rescue

We are an organization founded to assist owners with missing pets through coaching, field work and humane trapping. This extends to securing street strays who we exit when no owner comes forward. We rehab and evaluate each dog for an appropriate fit for adoption.
