My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Vincent !!
This big boy likely has some St. Bernard in him. A really sweet and loving dog with a ton of playful puppy energy.
Vincent is an approx 1 year old, male, St Bernard mix. He may even be younger than that but it’s hard to tell. Definitely acts like a puppy. He already weighs 76 pounds. He may not be done growing yet.
He is already neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative.
Vincent loves all people. He’s super social and loves to play. When he’s tired he likes to cuddle but it takes awhile to tire him out. He’s a bit unrefined in his training but with a little work he’s going to be a great dog.
He does very well with other dogs. He can be a little overwhelming to some dogs. He’s not aggressive at all he’s just a large hyper wild puppy when playing. We do not know how he would do with cats. He would not be the best for young kids. He is not mean but he’s very big, strong and untrained. When he first arrived he was jumping all over people and mouthing hands and arms. His foster has done great with training him but he will likely need that guidance from his new home as well.
Vincent has been perfect with his potty training since arriving. He learned the doggie door quickly and does great. He is crate trained but isn’t a fan. He will bark if you’re home and he’s put in it however he will sleep in it overnight. He will bark for a bit and give up at night. He does have a very loud bark and would not do well in an apartment due to that and his energy level. He does extremely well on the leash for his size but needs someone strong enough to control him is he decides to pull. He’s very good on car rides.
He has done well sharing his food and toys with people. He’s fed separately from other dogs but hasn’t shown any issues so far.
Vincent is big higher energy guy and needs a family ready to play! He will not be happy or well behaved if his family isn’t committed to playtime and consistent training everyday so he has a positive outlet for all that energy and learns to stop unwanted behaviors.
➡️ Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of a large, strong and playful dog. We are telling you his issues upfront. Please don’t adopt unless you’re prepared to handle them.
Vet and home checks required.
He is not going to do well in an apartment. Fenced yard required 5ft or taller.
Located in Hampton VA.
(He will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius.)
