My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Napoleon, the epitome of sweetness in a furry package. This little male dog is bursting with affection and adores nothing more than playful romps and cozy cuddle sessions with his beloved human. Napoleon's ideal family is one that shares his zest for adventure, ready to embark on countless escapades together. Whether it's exploring the great outdoors or simply lounging in front of the TV, Napoleon's heart is happiest when surrounded by those who cherish him. With his endearing nature and boundless love, Napoleon is sure to steal the hearts of all who cross his path.

Napoleon's adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test (if over 9 months old), and kept up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

If you are interested in adopting Napoleon, you may fill out an application or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet him first. We are open Tuesday - Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Go meet their pets

We do adoptions on the square in Dahlonega most weekends, attend various local events, have annual fundraisers, and our animals can be seen at the shelter any day from 10:00 - 4:30 (an hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00). Come by and see the new changes at the shelter as well, ask to volunteer, or just introduce yourself and meet the wonderful staff members.

More about this shelter

Established in 1977, TLC is one of the oldest no-kill shelters in North Georgia. Our shelter is on about six acres near the Lumpkin County shelter, and about five miles east of Dahlonega. Our focus is saving as many homeless pets as we can, and preventing the birth of unwanted pets. We have always relied on private donations to care for as many animals as we can.
