My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to Adopt Me!

Miss Dumpling is 26lbs of quickly growing string bean (hound mix)! At about 5 months old she loves to play, explore, romp and nap with her foster siblings dog and human alike. We have fostered Dumpling since she was about 8 weeks old and she has lived with us for 3 months now, in her time here she has learned to live comfortably with a the sounds that come from two playing (and sometimes bickering) young kids, and has learned to play and relax with our two dogs. Dumpling loves sleeping in her crate next to our bed at night and will walk right in and rest with the door wide open. We are usually at home with her so she is only crated for a few hours at a time when we leave the house as a family. She does not howl when we leave but she joins in on the excitement when we return home, happily howling along with our other pups. Dumpling would be a great solo companion or would do best with a larger dog who will want to play with her. We are doing great with potty training with very few accidents, she has learned to sit near the door to tell us she needs to go out and we are confident she will be a quick learner in her new home as well. Dumpling has never met a stranger, and will happy whimper when she meets a new human or dog friend, when out at meet and greets she allows dogs of all sizes to say hello and will even roll onto back if she thinks she’s supposed to. She joins me on sporadic two mile walks in the morning and does really well on her leash. We think she’s pretty amazing and know she will make her future family extremely happy for years to come.

Like all puppies her age, she will need exercise and potty breaks every few  hours and to continue her socialization and training but she is off to a fabulous start. Dumpling has been fostered in a home with two adults, two children aged 9 and 3, as well as two dogs ranging from 30 lbs to 50lbs, keeping up with all members and actively seeking playtime and affection from all who live in or visit our home.  If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and feel your family is a great fit for Dumpling please send in an application and tell us more about your family.

More about this rescue

We are a small 501(c)3 dog rescue. We take owner surrenders and we pull from local shelters. We, like so many others, are just trying to make a difference.
