Meet Forslund! Fors as he is better known, aims to be the center of your attention. This young and energetic yellow lab mix is looking for his furever home and hopes it is with you. His favorite things are playing with his siblings, treats, and saying "hello" to the Amazon delivery driver (even if he is a bit confused on how that hello is delivered.) Fors is an observant boy and can take some time to warm up to new people and surroundings. He can become anxious in these situations but with repeated calm and gentle reassurance he mellows out. His high energy level and love for the outdoors make him the perfect hiking companion.
Forslund currently lives with other large dogs of his own age and older. While there is a cat in the home, he has not had direct access or been "tested" for his reaction to cats or small dogs. His young age, high energy level, and large size may not make him appropriate for homes with children under the age of seven. With time, patience, and treats, Fors has the potential to become a loving dog.
This animal is being cross-posted for private rehoming by its owner. This animal is not in the care of Kitsap Humane Society and the staff at KHS cannot respond to any inquiries about this animal. If you are interested in adopting or learning more about this pet, please contact their owner directly at rgideon@gmail.com. Kitsap Humane Society is not responsible for any present or future damage the pet may do to a person, animal, or property. We encourage all prospective adopters to do their own evaluation. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 88 Age: 0yrs 10mths 2wks

More about this shelter
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
