Savoy is a stunning, intelligent, and loyal German Shepherd mix who’s looking for a forever home with someone experienced in working breeds. At 1.5 years old and around 50 pounds, Savoy is in the prime of his learning and bonding years—and he’s ready to thrive with the right person by his side.
This sweet boy is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. He’s also crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and is currently working on stay. He has a high energy level typical of his breed but also has a deeply affectionate side—he loves to cuddle and will gladly be your shadow all day long.
Savoy was previously adopted and returned due to resource guarding, a common behavior in German Shepherds who feel the need to protect their people. He’s not aggressive—just misunderstood. What Savoy needs is a confident and committed handler who will take the lead in the relationship and continue to provide training, structure, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation.
With the right person, Savoy will blossom into the loyal, loving, and well-balanced companion he was meant to be.

We are all volunteers passionate about dogs. Our goal is to find homes for displaced dogs that could possibly be euthanized in a shelter. We all are volunteers and will try to get back to you in a timely manner but it may take up to 72 hours.
