My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zara is FULL of personality! From day 1, shes always been the spunkiest puppy of her litter. Shes independent and likes to explore. Zara enjoys playing on her own or with a friend. When its bedtime, she would rather sleep in her bed or on the floor instead of snuggling. Zara isnt scared to run with the big dogs, and we think shed make for a great dog athlete when shes big and strong. She has some strong Border Collie genes! We think shed do best in a home with at least one other playful dog. If youre looking for an active canine companion, Zara is your girl. Zara has mellowed out since her sister London was adopted. She sleeps through the night in the crate without accidents. In her foster home, she's working on potty training but has minimal accidents inside. Zara loves playing with their 90 pound foster brother! They get the zoomies and chase each other around the house. She enjoys laying outside in the sun (when the sun actually comes out), and chewing on bones. These puppies have great temperaments. Theyre happy and will make wonderful companions! DOB early December. We estimate these puppies will be in the 50-60 lb range. Their DNA results showed 14 different breeds; The top 5 are: 46% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% American Pitbull Terrier, 9% Border Collie, 9% Labrador Retriever, 7% Chow Chow + 9 others. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application and we'll be in touch ASAP! Our puppy adoption fee is $300. Zara has completed her vet care and can go to her forever home whenever. Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
