My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Boomer and I'm about 2-1/2 years old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society from a shelter in Kentucky.  I am super friendly and sociable.  I am very playful with toys.  I love stuffed toys and am content to play by myself.  I am a good listener. I want to please my person.  I like to play with children, but when I get very excited I get a little mouthy.  I need a yard to play in and get my exercise.  It would be even better if it was fenced.  I play my version of fetch.  I chase the ball and bring it back just to get someone to chase me with it.  I walk nice on leash.  I do have a special talent.  When I am waiting to come out of my kennel I dance with my front paws.  When I arrived from Kentucky I was constantly shaking my head and pawing at my left ear.  The vet determined I had an ear infection and I was treated.  The treatment helped at first, but the infection returned.  I was treated again and the vet suspected I had a food allergy that is causing my ear infections.  Since my last treatment and a diet change to Royal Canin HL food my ear infection has cleared.  I have been without any ear problems for 8 weeks.  I am not taking any medication, but will probably need to stay on the special food for life. When I meet other dogs I like to be the one who initiates the greeting.  I am house trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is reduced to $50 to help offset the cost of my food.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.
