My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a playful, smart and sweet young lady who is good on a leash. She is outgoing, lovable and funny. Ruby is friendly, loving and very much enjoys attention. Every dog is fully vetted prior to being released from the shelter. She should be kept away from cats.

More about this shelter

We are a small rural shelter run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We have taken in over 300 dogs in the time we have been open and adopt out about 100 dogs per year. We do participate in transport to Wisconsin and Minnesota shelter partners to help give our special dogs more opportunities. All of our dogs are full vaccinated and spayed or neutered before being adopted.

We are a participating shelter with Pets for the Elderly and have a REDUCED adoption fee for adopters 60+.
