My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oakley!
Oakley is an approx 9-10 week old small to medium mix (maybe some beagle/terrier in there, along with a bunch of other stuff?)

Oakley and her 3 siblings, 2 sisters and 1 brother, ended up in a shelter in the south and eventually landed with our rescue. Oakley is currently in a temporary foster home with her sister Nala, getting started on the big dog skills needed for this world.

Oakley is a total lovebug, according to her foster home, and they are totally smitten with her. They say she will make someone a great companion.
Oakley is less into the outdoors than her sister, and instead prefers to go outside for brief periods to go to the bathroom, play and explore for a short time then go back to the comforts of indoors.

She does love a good wrestling match with other dogs and is a bit more rough and tumble in her play style than her sister. She is good with other dogs an always trying to make friends with the resident dog.
She and curious and friendly with people who come to visit her foster home, although she may take a brief minute to say hi. She would love a family who works on socializing and training with her and helps her grow to be her best self. She has not met any cats yet, however given their young age we expect they would be fine with cats, with appropriate introductions and some patience.

Their foster home has started working on teaching them to go outside to potty and crate training, but of course given their young age they will need an adopter who understands they will need to work on housebreaking still.

Oakley's adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, spay and microchipping. She will also be given all preventatives and has been dewormed on a schedule.

Interested in Oakley? Please go to https://www.dogtownrescue.org/online-adoption-application to complete an online application for Oakley. Oakley is in a temporary foster home and not at our adoption center. An approved application and scheduled appointment are required to meet her.
