My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mistletoe is an itty bitty senior lady who wants kisses, pets, and affection all year round! We estimate this dainty tortie at around 7 years old (although her teeth are in such good shape we first thought she was 2), but she certainly does not act her age. Instead of taking long mid-day naps, she follows you wherever you go, hoping you'll feed her some more food. Eventually she finally gives up on that venture and you'll find her right next to you on the couch, behind you in your chair, or even taking a nap by (and on!) your laptop as you work from home. While she tolerates being picked up, she much prefers being in close vicinity to humans and more of a "all in your space" cat instead of a lap cat.

When she's not begging for affection, she gets along well with her two foster cat brothers and would enjoy being in a home with a younger cat - playing in a tunnel with small mouse toys have taken up *many* evenings. She's the perfect example of how a cat with FIV+ can live a wonderful life with other cats.

Lastly, this little lady has reached a significant milestone recently: remission from diabetes. To continue this status, it's best she stays on prescription diabetic cat food (higher in protein!) and has her blood glucose tested periodically, which is very easy to do at home. She is easy to handle, though a bit on the squirmy side!

This friendly and sociable little cat is perfect for anyone ready to receive some purrs and loving immediately!
