Bubba Pi is playful, resilient and social. He LOVES other dogs and has no idea he is missing a front leg. Some of his favorites include squeaky toys, rubber toys, being outside, walks, other dogs, and people.
Having a tripod pup requires some special care. He would do best in a home that does not have stairs that he must navigate. He'd do great in an elevator building. There may be future medical/therapy needs to help maintain his single front leg.
Bubba's foster home says - This little guy is one of a kind. He is smart, sweet, and can be a little spicy when he wants to be. He doesn't let his disability slow him down in the least and trusts and loves everyone he meets. He snores like an old man, has the most adorable demeanor, and makes me smile everyday. Ideally he would land in a home where there is a lot of activity and where he has the opportunity to possibly become a therapy dog for veterans or the disabled. He is very social and it would be great to put his social skills to good use. He just lights up in social situations and people can't help but smile when they see him hopping along so happily.

ALIVE Rescue is a sustainable animal rescue group committed to protecting the lives and rights of animals. We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. Our rescue permanently houses and cares for the animals that cannot be placed into forever homes for the duration of their natural lives. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.
Since our formation in 2008, ALIVE Rescue has rescued more than 1,600 animals in the Chicago area.
