Friendly, Affectionate, Smart, Curious, Playful. House-trained. A Torbie mix. I love to PLAY FETCH!! Super sweet Lily was very malnourished. She has already been through a lot in her very young life. She came from a home where she was in a 10x12 ft room with 43 other cats. Her kittens were stillborn and then a few were left behind in her little body that also had to be removed as they had died. She mourned for quite some time but then came out of her shell as soon as she felt better. She remains very tiny, she is sweet, agile, and gets along with other cats. She is still somewhat shy but has great potential to become the most loving cat. She is very young so likes to play a lot still. We think she is maybe 1 year or a bit more, but we cannot be sure as she is so underweight still and will need time to grow now that she has the good nutrition she needed all along. She loves to PLAY FETCH! The adoption fee is a donation to our rescue, and the amount is at your discretion. Please fill out our online adoption form:https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Priority is given to that application. Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Pinellas counties only. Thank you for caring.

More about this rescue
We founded the Duette Animal Rescue Team (DART) in 2020 in Manatee County. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. We learned about the plight for exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. By working with a network of zo's, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters,
DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care. We catch cats to assist with the management of stray cat overpopulation in the community. We rehabilitate the cats so that we can put them up for adoption and have a better quality of life. For example, cat litter box training and socialization.
