My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a spirited and affectionate companion? Look no further! Delilah, a 2-year-old dilute grey tortie cat, is ready to leap into your life and heart. With her stunning short hair coat that requires minimal grooming, she’s as low-maintenance as she is beautiful.

Delilah is the epitome of agility and energy. She’ll dazzle you with her acrobatic antics and playful pounces. But don’t let her spirited nature fool you; she’s also a snuggle enthusiast who loves to curl up close and share moments of tranquility.

She embodies the famous ‘tortitude’—a perfect blend of feisty independence and endearing charm. Delilah is great with dogs and will quickly become your loyal canine’s new best friend. However, she prefers to be the only feline in her domain, so a home without other cats would be ideal for her.

Delilah would thrive in an adult-only household where she can be the center of attention and affection. If you’re ready for a life filled with fun, cuddles, and a touch of tortoiseshell sass, Delilah is the cat for you!

To meet Delilah and see if you’re the perfect match, please contact us. Let’s give this wonderful cat the loving forever home she deserves!

More about this rescue

We founded the Duette Animal Rescue Team (DART) in 2020 in Manatee County. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. We learned about the plight for exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. By working with a network of zo's, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters,
DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care. We catch cats to assist with the management of stray cat overpopulation in the community. We rehabilitate the cats so that we can put them up for adoption and have a better quality of life. For example, cat litter box training and socialization.
