Sweet Lizzie is approx 5 years and 32 lbs,she is the sweetest girl but would do better as an only dog
she has been treated for heartworms,had her Acl and miniscus repaired and her back left leg amputated due to an old fracture that had healed correctly and was not repairable
so she can be a little testy with other dogs that are pushy and get in her face or space, she just wants to observe
she loves people and loves getting lots of attention
she is very quiet and well behaved and enjoys sitting outside on the patio on a big comfy bed or in a dog bed wherever her foster is , she is going to make a great companion for some lucky people

OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.
The total adoption fee of $400 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at

We require all adopters to fill out an initial application so that we can check references. We try to match our dogs with a family that fits the needs and individuality of our homeless pets. We work tirelessly to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime. We do this through email, phone, and any other means of communication to ensure a good fit.
