Meet Nox!
This handsome fella is estimated to be around 7 years old. He was brought to HSoP as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. We're glad he came into our care though, since Nox needed some veterinary attention. This sweet guy was suffering from entropion in both eyes. If you aren't familiar, entropion is a condition where a pet's eyelashes curl in toward their eye instead of out and away from it. This causes irritation, scratches, and the potential for infection. When Nox came in, his eyes were swollen shut to the point that he couldn't see.
Thankfully, Nox was able to have his entropion surgically corrected in both eyes! He can now see clearly and much more comfortably. His surgeries left him with a distinct look around each eye which makes us love him that much more.
Nox is a tomcat with some of the biggest jowls we've ever seen! He is also quite the affectionate guy, and will flop over for pets in .2 seconds after making a new friend. Nox loves face and ear scratches (especially on those tomcat jowls!) and is a generally happy cat. Our entire staff has come to adore Nox and his positive spirit! He was such a trooper while waiting for surgery (and then a second surgery to correct the first), but now he's ready to go home and love on his new human friends.
Since he arrived as a stray, we aren't sure how Nox does around dogs, children, or other cats. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to help ensure a good fit for the whole family! Nox's adoption fee is $100. He is up to date on vaccines, will be neutered soon, and will leave HSoP with a microchip containing his new owner's information.
